Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights or holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems experience or Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program.
• 2+ years of preventive maintenance experience.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE)

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, and reaching.
