Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

This role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with conveyor systems and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems or apprenticeship program experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE (belts, motors, sensors, relays).
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand/walk up to 12-hour shifts, climb ladders, and perform bending and lifting as required.
