Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice to train in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex automation equipment at our distribution centers. You will learn from seasoned engineers, work with PLCs and robotics, and participate in a structured classroom and on‑the‑job learning program.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on development across electronic, mechanical, and control systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets).
• Mechanical aptitude test required.
• Willingness to travel for 12 weeks of training at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechatronics equipment.
• Shadow senior technicians and follow safety policies on shop floor and in classroom labs.
• Learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a lab setting.
• Work with robotic systems and coordinate with Robotics Engineers and OEMs.
• Interact with operators to detect problems and verify system performance.
