Job summary

JLL invites applicants for a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice role at our nationwide fulfillment centers. You will learn to install, troubleshoot and repair mechatronic systems, conveyors, and robotics under guidance from senior engineers.

The program emphasizes safety, hands-on training, and collaboration with Automation and Robotics teams across sites. Travel to training locations is required for 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic troubleshooting skills required.
• Willingness to travel for 12 weeks of training at one of 3 sites in Indiana, PA, GA, NC or TX.

Responsibilities

• Follows work processes closely at school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing with a technical advisor in OJL.
• Communicates and works well within a team environment both in school and in OJL.
• Works capably with technical documentation.
• Works capably with a computer both in school and on the shop floor.
• Learn to perform work with material transfer conveyors by following the lead of experienced technical advisors.
• Learn to understand, identify, locate malfunctions, remove, replace, adjust, and return to service following the lead of experienced technical advisors.
• Learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a laboratory environment.
• Learn to perform work with robotic systems and work with Robotics Engineers and OEMs in a real environment.
