Job summary

JLL invites applicants to join as a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice, learning to install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex automation systems in a Fulfilment/Distribution Center. The program combines classroom, laboratory, and on‑the‑job learning with guidance from experienced technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Ability to travel to attend training at one of 3 training sites for 12 weeks.
• Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, reading spreadsheets, and internet browser basics.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows work processes closely in school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing with a technical advisor in OJL.
• Communicates and works well within a team environment both in school and in OJL.
• Works capably with technical documentation and with a computer on school and shop floor.
• Learn to perform work with material transfer conveyors under guidance of experienced advisors.
• Learn to identify malfunctions, replace parts, adjust, and return to service following guidance.
• Learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a lab environment.
• Learn to work with robotic systems and coordinate with Robotics Engineers and OEMs.
