Job summary

St. Clair County RESA is seeking an Engineering and Robotics Instructional Technician to support the Mechatronics program and high school students. The technician will help with lab prep, equipment readiness, and safe work practices under the Instructor’s supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with student achievement plans, reinforcing technical content, and supporting transitions from school to work. A related associate degree or certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

4,000 hours of recent relevant work experience in mechatronics, industrial automation, robotics in an applied environment.
Experience with PLCs, sensors, control systems, pneumatic systems, and CAD is preferred.
Related associate degree, technical certificate, or apprenticeship completion preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate support services with the Instructor.
Assist in the development of individual student achievement plans.
Assist students by reviewing, re-teaching, and reinforcing technical and academic content.
Assist students in the development of personal management skills.
Assist students in the transition from school to work.
Provide feedback to the Instructor regarding student progress, behavior, and special needs.
Assist in providing and documenting student accommodations
