Job summary

Amazon is seeking an apprentice for Mechatronics & Robotics (MRA) in Davenport, IA. You will learn to combine electronic, mechanical, computer and automation engineering skills during on-the-job learning, working with high-performance manufacturing systems and being mentored by senior technicians to grow in your role.

You will help install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety regulations are followed while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ years of PC software experience including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of Basic Mathematics.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Experience measurement reading and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment.
• Maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours; climb ladders and gangways safely.
