Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice to learn electronic, mechanical, computer, and automation engineering skills on high‑performance manufacturing systems. You will work with journey workers, learn safety regulations, assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, and ensure high equipment availability.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required.
Vocational/Technical training or an associate degree or 1+ years Amazon RME experience is acceptable.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching as required.
