Job summary

FANUC America seeks an Associate Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site CNC and peripheral equipment service across the Northeast region. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex machines, often traveling to customer sites and coordinating with supervisors for proper task assignments.

The role requires hands-on technical capability, strong communication, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced robotics environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Transport equipment and parts weighing up to 75 pounds to customer locations.
• Ability to diagnose and problem-solve.
• Ability to learn and adapt engineering approaches quickly.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting ability with diagnostic tools.
• Willingness to travel 80–90% to customer sites.
• Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain).
• Authorized to drive within US/Canada for business travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for CNCs, servo, spindle drive and motor products; investigate customer complaints.
• Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
• Promote the company goal of exceeding customer expectations.
• Report quality problems to management.
• Control inventory as assigned.
• Learn service operations, procedures and policies and submit required paperwork on time.
• Maintain all company-provided equipment and tools.
• Travel as required within directions and guidelines.
• Travel to customer sites; overnight travel 2–3 nights per month.
• Work with senior Field Service Engineer to ensure proper task alignment.
