Job summary

FANUC America is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to provide on-site repair, troubleshooting and maintenance for CNCs and related equipment across assigned states in the Midwest. The role requires significant travel (80–90%), hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with senior engineers.

Based in Iowa with reporting to the Minneapolis, MN office, you will service Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, maintaining equipment and ensuring quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in technical customer support or field service
• Familiarity with electrical components (relays, breakers, sensors, motors)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport parts
• Valid driver’s license required for travel across service area
• Willingness to travel 80–90% to customer sites

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for CNCs, servo, spindle drive and motors
• Travel to customer sites (overnight 4–6 nights per month)
• Report quality problems to supervisor/manager
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Learn service operations, procedures and policies
• Issue timely and accurate paperwork
• Coordinate with supervisors and senior engineers for proper service delivery
