Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) in Fort Worth seeks a Mechatronics Engineering Manager for the ADT and Water Truck teams, guiding embedded software, mechanical and harness, electronics, and systems engineers building autonomous kits for off‑road industrial vehicles.

You will own cross‑disciplinary design reviews, set functional requirements, manage budgets, and mentor engineers to deliver rugged, maintainable systems that operate in harsh environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years leading mechatronics/engineering teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechatronics: mechanical, electrical, control, embedded software.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD and simulation software.
• Embedded systems programming in C/C++.
• Vehicle electrical architecture and CAN knowledge.
• Agile or related project management experience.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as manager and mentor for engineers on policies, procedures, and technical issues.
• Direct daily activities of the mechatronics development team for ADT and water truck platforms.
• Ensure best practices and ASI standards from concept to field support.
• Own integration across mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, performance, cost, reliability, and serviceability.
• Establish functional requirements and design specs; review solutions against them.
• Partner with vehicle integration, autonomy software, and field teams to resolve issues.
• Track project scope, schedule, and budgets; elevate risk to leadership.
