Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Mechatronics Development Manager II to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers across mechanical, electrical, and software domains on Reach Stacker projects.

You will drive design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of integrated mechatronic systems within budget and schedule. The role emphasizes strong leadership, hands-on mentoring, and ensuring best practices, manufacturability, and reliability while coordinating cross-functional activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• 5 years of individual contributor experience as a Mechatronics Engineer or related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers in mechatronics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechatronics principles: mechanical, electrical, control, embedded software.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software.
• Experience with embedded systems programming (C, C++)
• Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.
• Strong project management skills for complex cross-disciplinary projects.
• Preferred experience in Robotics, Automation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as a manager and mentor for engineers on mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities of the mechatronics development group.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices and company standards.
• Oversee integration of subsystems to ensure seamless operation.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
• Provide leadership to ensure team development aligns with goals.
