Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician (Jr to Mid Level) in Cupertino, CA. The role targets testing, validation, and failure analysis of semiconductor hardware in a high‑performance R&D lab, with pay ranging from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.

The successful candidate will develop fixtures, collect structured data, and work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure hardware robustness across mechanical and thermal conditions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical testing of semiconductor hardware in an R&D environment.
• Experience operating lab and machine shop equipment including universal test systems (e.g., Instron), drop/impact systems, high-speed cameras, thermal chambers, DAQs, power supplies, DMMs, and fabrication tools.
• Proficiency with NX CAD or similar 3D modeling software.
• Ability to interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and CAD models with precision measurements and tolerances.
