Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Mechanical Test Technician to support testing, validation, and failure analysis of semiconductor hardware and advanced packaging in a high-performance R&D lab. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, data-driven results, ensuring hardware robustness across mechanical and thermal conditions.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, familiarity with lab and shop equipment, fixture development, and precision metrology.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical testing in an R&D environment for semiconductor hardware or high-performance assemblies.
• Operate lab and shop equipment including universal test systems, drop/impact, high-speed cameras, thermal chambers, DAQs, power supplies, DMMs, and fabrication tools.
• Design and build custom test fixtures and set up instrumentation for structured data collection and reporting.
• Proficiency with NX CAD or similar 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Test, validate, and analyze mechanical reliability of semiconductor hardware.
• Develop and maintain test fixtures and instrumentation for data collection.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, and CAD models with precision measurements and tolerances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver data-driven results.
