Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document and maintain complex test environment systems for Raytheon Missile Defense products. This is an onsite Tucson, AZ role requiring a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities include creating mechanical test systems across vibration, thermal and other environments, building reliable solutions for production, and recommending design improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and two years of engineering experience.
• Two years of mechanical design and/or production support experience.
• Two years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO/ProE preferred).
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro‑optical environments.
• Build and validate test solutions delivering high accuracy in production settings.
• Diagnose production issues and recommend design improvements to elevate performance.
