Job summary

RTX's Tucson, AZ-based Mechanical Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for Raytheon effector products. This 100% onsite opportunity requires a DoD Secret clearance and U.S.

citizenship. You will create mechanical test systems supporting vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF and electro-optical environments, build reliable test solutions, and diagnose production issues to drive performance improvements in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and two years of engineering experience.
• Two years of mechanical design experience and production support.
• Two years of 3D CAD modeling with CREO/ProE.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or docs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical test systems used across vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro‑optical environments.
• Build and validate test solutions delivering high accuracy and reliability in production.
• Diagnose production issues and recommend design improvements to enhance performance.
