Job summary

RTX's Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document, and maintain complex test environment systems for Raytheon effector products. This 100% onsite role supports production, verification, and qualification activities.

The ideal candidate holds a STEM degree with hands-on mechanical design experience, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2 years of engineering experience.
• Two years of experience in mechanical design or production support.
• Two years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO / ProE).
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical test systems used across vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical environments.
• Build and validate test solutions delivering high accuracy in production settings.
• Diagnose production issues and recommend design improvements to improve performance.
