Pratt Industries in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Mechanical Technician for our maintenance team to support paper machine operations with reliability-centered maintenance. The role involves a rotating 24/7 schedule with both day and shift assignments over time, reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, equipment operation, reading blueprints, welding and pipefitting as needed, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent educational background.
• Computer/Data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Operating powered equipment safely (forklifts, lifts, cranes).
• Reading blueprints and technical manuals.
• Performing welding and pipefitting as needed.
