Job summary

You will perform reliability-centered maintenance on the mechanical systems that keep the paper machine running and safeties in check. This salaried non-exempt role offers a base salary of $60,000 with built-in overtime and the potential to earn $90,000+ annually, reflecting a rotating 24/7 schedule that includes day and shift assignments.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary educational degree (2 to 4 year degree from college, university, technical school, military, vocational or other advanced educational institution)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in process equipment, including pumps, transmissions, and other components.
• Operating motorized equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, Genie lifts, hoists, and cranes safely.
• Applying safe working practices, understanding preventive and first-line maintenance, and interpreting blueprints and manuals.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and planning effective solutions.
• Understanding power transmission systems, including removal, installation, and alignment of shafts, belts, chains, and couplings.
• Removing and replacing drive belts and identifying bearing types and defects.
• Welding and pipefitting as needed and performing related duties.
