Job summary

The Roundhouse in the UK is seeking a Sales Account Manager with a mechanical engineering background to own a blue-chip portfolio that includes McLaren F1 and BMW, with the freedom to manage your own diary and week.

You will engage engineering managers and decision-makers, selling condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment, while developing your technical knowledge through accredited training and ISO qualifications.

Qualifications

• Technical sales / Account management experience within mechanical engineering or a related industrial sector.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification and understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment or technical services (e.g., pumps, motors, gearboxes).
• Strong account management and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage an established portfolio.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory, with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts, including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements; recommend technical solutions.
• Sell condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your territory, diary, and customer visits, averaging ~4 site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits with flexible weekly planning.
• Develop technical knowledge through accredited training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
