Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking personnel to provide weekend production support at a BAE Systems facility for environmental stress screening and laser seal on a 4th shift.

The role spans the production lines in the Microwave West Factory, with tasks including ESS, testing, and calibration on DEWS/QATAR and related modules. Requires a high school diploma or GED and factory experience with microwave components, adhesives, soldering, and MIL-STD-883 knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year work experience.
  • Familiar with substrate attach (duroid/ceramic), MMICs, ICs, caps, diodes and resistors, soldering skills and eutectic die attach.
  • Familiar with lamination presses, bladder bag ovens and sheet epoxies for attaching substrates to modules.
  • Familiar with working with adhesives and epoxies.
  • Must be able to operate an MRSI 705 and 175.
  • Must be able to work with a microscope for an entire shift.
  • Able to fabricate/modify complex microwave/RF modules and sub-assemblies.
  • Familiar with MIL-STD-883 and bonding complex microwave modules.
  • Preferred: Microwave subassemblies experience; MIL STD-883; microscopes experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Laser Seal, Leak Testing, Vacuum bake, ESS on the production lines.
  • Support ESS Engineers on the AEWS/TACAIR line; testing and troubleshooting of ESS equipment.
  • Calibrate and validate Laser Seal and ESS equipment and fixtures.
  • Support Engineering with debug and evaluation of production hardware.
  • Develop process improvements in ESS operations for quality, cost and schedule.

Job Description Please note this position supports our Weekend Day Shift working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3AM to 3PM. You will work 36 Hours and be paid for 40 Hours plus earn a 10 pay premium. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. Summary: This position will provide Production support for both areas of Environmental Stress Screening and Laser Seal on Weekends 4th Shift on the production line in the TACAIR Microwave Factory on a variety of products including DEWS/QATAR, EPAWSS, 56C, and FIRETIP. Job Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform Laser Seal, Leak Testing, Vacuum bake, Environmental Stress Screening in support of the production lines in the Microwave West Factory.
  • Support The Environmental Stress Screening Engineers on the AEWS/TACAIR Production Line, Testing and Troubleshooting of ESS Equipment to include, Burn-in Chambers, Drop Shock Equipment, Temp Cycle Chambers, Acceleration and Leak Equipment.
  • Performs Calibration, Validation on Laser Seal and ESS Equipment and Fixtures.
  • Support Engineering with debug and evaluation of Production and Systems Return hardware.
  • Develop Process improvements in all ESS Operations for the manufacturing Factory to improve quality, cost and schedule.
Requirements

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year work experience.
  • Must be familiar with substrate attach (duroid/ceramic), MMICs, IC's, caps, diodes and resistors, soldering skills and eutectic die attach.
  • Must be familiar with lamination presses, bladder bag ovens and sheet epoxies (mainly with the focus of attaching substrates to modules/housings).
  • Must be familiar with working with a wide variety of adhesives and epoxy's.
  • Must be familiar with operating an MRSI 705 and 175.
  • Must be able to work with a microscope for an entire shift.
  • Can fabricate and/or modify complex microwave/RF integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies.
  • Must be familiar with MIL-STD-883 and working with bonding complex microwave modules.
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills
  • Experience with Microwave subassemblies and knowledge of MIL STD-883.
  • Experience working with microscopes.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $46680 - $74687
