BAE Systems in Merrimack, NH is seeking a Mechanical Technician for on-site, second-shift production work. You will assemble and repair electromechanical assemblies, using schematics and drawings, with a 2 PM–12 AM schedule and a 10 pay premium.
The role emphasizes lean practices, quality, and safety. You should have a HS diploma or trade training, plus several years in manufacturing, machinist or electronics assembly.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100 of the time. Please Note this position supports our 2nd Shift. You will be paid a 10 Pay Premium while working the 2nd Shift from 2PM to 12 AM - 4/10 work week - Working Monday to Thursday every Friday off. A Mechanical Technician will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. In this role you will assist the Sustainment Team to support company mission by producing defect free products that exceeds our customers expectations in quality, delivery, and cost, leveraging lean six sigma practices. A mechanical technician will assemble, modify, rework and repair with minimal oversight. You will also perform work using assembly drawings, shop aids, schematics and detailed work instructions. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings, sketches, and be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to set up and operate typical repair tools and equipment such as soldering, ovens, paint touch up, and component forming tools and equipment.
Full-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912
