Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer II for Mechanical Systems (Bearings, Gears, Seals, Lubrication). You will design and analyze bearings, gears and splines, seals, and lubrication systems for propulsion engines, APUs and gearboxes, contributing to reliability and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical discipline, 1+ year FEA experience with ANSYS, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 1+ years of FEA experience with ANSYS or similar.
• 1+ years of experience with mechanical systems (Bearings, Gears & splines, Air & oil seals, Lubrication systems, etc.).
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Use of state-of-the-art software tools and methods in the support of Technical Excellence Teams to capture and publish analysis practices and guidelines
• Test rig design, operation and data collection and analysis
• Design reviews
• Use of the appropriate documentation practice to meet program deliverables and requirements
• Work effectively with design teams, global support and chief engineers
• Collaborate closely with our Mechanical Systems at the Phoenix Engines site
