Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Turbine Mechanical) to lead turbine component design, analysis, and testing activities. You will work with teams across the Aguadilla, Puerto Rico site and collaborate on proposals, value engineering, and program improvements.

You will mentor junior engineers, communicate results to stakeholders, and help advance innovation in turbine stress and lifting capabilities. Expect travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5+ years in gas turbine engineering and turbine component design/analysis.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with FEA tools and NX/MATLAB/DARWIN is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cooled and uncooled turbine mechanical design projects and be technically responsible for programs.
• Perform stress, fatigue, creep, burst, crack growth, and probabilistic lifting analyses for turbine components.
• Support engine testing, data reduction, and validation of analysis models.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global teams across time zones.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in turbine design processes.
