Mechanical Superintendent - Data Centers / Mission Critical
Compensation - Highly competitive with full package on top
This is a hands-on mechanical field leadership role for someone who can coordinate systems, people and access before constraints reach the install crews. Our client rewards people who can manage scale: major mechanical packages, dense commissioning sequences and project teams.
What you'll be responsible for
- Drive pressure testing, flushing, startup, controls integration, TAB and commissioning readiness
- Maintain quality standards through first-work reviews, inspections and punch management
- Keep field production safe and organized through pre-task planning, housekeeping and active supervision
- Track deliveries and prefabrication so crews have the right material when the area is ready
- Document manpower, progress, constraints and decisions in accurate daily reporting
- Develop foremen and assistant superintendents and create clear accountability for area ownership
- Lead mechanical field execution across HVAC, piping, plumbing and related systems applicable to the project
- Plan manpower, equipment, material and access around the master schedule and near-term field constraints
What we're looking for
- Typically 7+ years in the trade/industry with several years leading crews, subcontractors or project areas
- Able to read mechanical drawings, specifications, coordinated models and equipment schedules
- Comfortable with startup, testing, controls and commissioning interfaces
- Strong planning and coordination habits; able to communicate problems early and propose workable solutions
- Procore, Bluebeam and digital field tools are useful; trade licensing is valued
Why this role is worth a look
- A role where field planning and execution carry real authority, rather than being reduced to daily reporting.
- Exposure to the project types currently shaping the local market, with room to deepen technical leadership.
- A contractor profile that values foreman development, clean coordination and predictable turnover.
