Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a people-oriented Mechanical/Robotics Engineer to join our Product Support and Development - Mechanical team in the Manufacturing Division. You will lead automation projects on the production floor to improve safety, reliability, and cost, while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.

Day-to-day work blends hands-on design, CAD, and robotics with strong problem-solving.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in automation, materials/processes, mechanics, CAD, manufacturing engineering or electronic manufacturing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and track projects effectively.
• Clear and effective communication—written, verbal, and documentation.
• Quick to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
• Works well in team environments.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Aufgaben

• Lead a small team to develop automation solutions for production environments.
• Own projects from problem statement to solution integration and closure.
• Design and implement automation on the production floor to improve safety, reliability, and economy.
• Collaborate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
