Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in the United States seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team, ensuring safe, efficient product flow and alignment with SEL values and world-class manufacturing principles.

You will mentor staff, write and deliver performance reviews, oversee training, address issues, and drive continuous improvement using root-cause tools while coordinating with upstream and downstream areas to meet department objectives and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Ability to model SEL Values to others.
• Ability to communicate professionally to a diverse audience.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS).
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s)

Responsabilités

• Provide clear direction to work group to meet production objectives.
• Understand upstream and downstream areas to ensure accurate communication and product flow.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback; mentor and coach employees; write and deliver performance reviews.
• Assess training needs and oversee training.
• Address personnel issues and settle differences equitably.
• Create, update and control area work instructions and reports.
• Use root cause and continuous improvement tools to address quality issues.
• Promote safety standards and assist in safety initiatives.
• Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
