Collins Aerospace Maintenance Repair Operations site in Santa Fe Springs, CA seeks an Entry-Level Mechanical Repair Technician. You will perform complete operation checkouts, modifications and repairs on aerospace components, using basic tools and test equipment.

The role involves assembling parts, checking tolerances, reading blueprints, and documenting repairs. Work hours are Monday–Friday, with potential overtime, onsite at the Santa Fe Springs location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills for documenting repairs and following work instructions.
• Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauge, hydraulic gauges).
• Able to read blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at Santa Fe Springs, CA location.
• Inspect incoming assemblies and components and set up repair/test facilities.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Assemble fabricated parts and use hand and power tools.
• Maintain quality through short-cycle repairs and proper documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically a High School diploma or GED is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Basic Computer skills for documenting repairs and following work instructions.
• Basic experience operating hand tools, electrical,pneumatic,hydraulic and test equipment
• Experience with measuring tools such as:micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc.
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes
