Job summary

Actalent in Tigard, OR is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead complex commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout. You will oversee financial performance, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships while delivering high-quality results across data centers, healthcare facilities, K–12 schools, and multifamily developments.

The role requires strong project management, HVAC/piping/plumbing knowledge, and the ability to mentor team

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of project management experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• Experience with HVAC, piping systems and plumbing.
• Strong scheduling and budget management skills.
• Experience negotiating contracts and change orders.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Track and forecast project financials and present reports to executives.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules to ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate with field teams, VDC/CAD detailing, project engineers and accountants.
• Lead change management with estimates, budgets and change orders.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors from scope through completion.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with clients and subs.
• Attend meetings to report status, identify risks, and drive decisions.
• Oversee mechanical construction activities to meet specs and quality.
