Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager to oversee mechanical and commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes. The role requires coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, or sheet metal services.

Based onsite in the Richmond area, effort is directed toward growth and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction, preferably HVAC/plumbing/sheet metal.
• Experience managing commercial projects valued at $1 million+.
• Track record of handling 3+ projects concurrently.
• Strong leadership and client/stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to align goals, schedules, and expectations.
• Plan, organize, and control project activities to meet time, budget, and quality targets.
• Oversee commercial construction projects valued at $1 million+.
• Manage budgets, track costs, and ensure financial performance.
• Review designs and specifications for accurate field execution.
• Prepare, review, and manage change orders with proper pricing and approvals.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders with regular updates.
