Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Chesapeake, VA
Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000+ (Depends on Experience)

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from award through completion.
• Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Review contracts, plans, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
• Manage procurement and equipment/material buyout activities.
• Negotiate and process change orders, RFIs, and project modifications.
• Lead project meetings and provide ongoing communication regarding project status.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.
• Support business development efforts by maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience within the mechanical construction industry.
• Experience managing HVAC, piping, plumbing, and/or design-build mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
