Job summary

Cumming Group seeks a Mechanical Project Inspector to join our team, providing quality control and inspection expertise on mechanical systems for healthcare construction projects. You will ensure compliance with contract documents and maintain thorough project records on site.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or mechanical engineering, with 2+ years’ ICC mechanical code experience and preferred CM/CMI certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience with ICC codes, specifically mechanical.
• Certificate: CM I or state mechanical inspector license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects materials, installation and layout of mechanical work on site.
• Verifies contractor quantities for monthly pay estimates.
• Maintains thorough records including daily logs and progress meeting updates.
• Acts as liaison among CCM, operations, Owner and contractor during construction.
