Job summary

At Cumming Group, the Plumbing Project Inspector will support Facilities Management projects by providing quality control and inspection expertise for plumbing systems on construction sites.

The role requires 2+ years’ experience with ICC plumbing codes, a relevant degree, and preferred plumbing inspector certification; healthcare construction experience is essential, with a strong emphasis on documenting materials, inspections and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with all ICC codes, specifically plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Inspects materials, installation, and layout of work on the project site and evaluates its acceptability.
• Determines and notifies contractor of unacceptable material or work with the CCM approval.
• Serves as liaison between CCM, operations, Owner, and contractor during construction.
• Performs or supervises quality control testing.
• Maintains thorough and accurate records documenting the entire process of the project, including daily logs and meeting updates.
• Verifies quantities for contractors’ monthly pay estimates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during normal business hours.
