Job summary

Cumming Gallagher, a Texas-based project and construction management firm, seeks a Mechanical Project Inspector to ensure quality control for mechanical systems on healthcare construction projects. The role requires coordination with the Construction Contracts Manager and stakeholders to verify materials, installation, and compliance with contract documents.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in a related field and relevant ICC certifications, with at least 2+ years of mechanical code

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Surveying, or related field preferred.
• CMI or appropriate state issued Mechanical Inspector certification preferred.
• Experience: healthcare construction industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects materials, installation, and layout on site and evaluates acceptability.
• Notifies contractor of unacceptable work with CCM approval.
• Serves as liaison between CCM, operations, Owner and contractor during construction.
• Performs or supervises quality control testing.
• Maintains records including daily logs and progress meeting updates.
• Verifies contractor pay quantities monthly.
• Attendance during normal business hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
