Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer for Fort Benning, GA, to support construction inspection on large federal projects. You will review QC procedures, participate in the 3-Phase Inspection, and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with construction experience; PE is preferred. Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and RMS 3.0 is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred or similar professional credential is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems and construction inspection is required.

Responsibilities

• Review QC procedures on large military installations and report findings to the COR.
• Attend and participate in the 3-Phase Inspection process.
• Observe construction to identify major problems and report findings to the COR.
• Review submittals and provide recommendations to the COR.
• Evaluate contractor questions and RFIs/RFCs and propose solutions to the COR.
• Review construction schedules and report findings to the COR.
• Assist in preparing change orders and payments documentation.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine compliance with contract requirements.
• Maintain liaison with the DPW Resident Office and attend weekly meetings.
• Ensure safety compliance and document findings in daily reports.
