Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Fort Benning project in Fort Benning, GA. The role focuses on construction inspection, contract administration, and technical evaluation to support Army infrastructure programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of construction experience, PE preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and RMS. U.S. citizenship required; background and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with construction inspection, contract administration, and/or office engineering support.
• Experience with mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems and mechanical construction inspection.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using RMS 3.0, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contractors' quality management and control procedures on large military installations.
• Attend and participate in the 3-Phase Inspection process.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Assist with change orders, time extensions, and contract payment reviews.
• Maintain liaison with the DPW and attend weekly meetings.
