Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Mid-Level Mechanical Systems Inspector to support Fort Benning. This on-site, full-time role involves reviewing plans, inspecting mechanical systems, and ensuring construction adheres to contract drawings and LEED requirements.

Candidates should have extensive construction experience, preferably in DoD projects; US citizenship is required and background checks/CAC processing will be completed. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required/preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing and building control systems.
• Experience with RMS and USACE projects preferred.
• Must be a US citizen and able to pass federal background checks and CAC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications; oversee work to ensure conformance with drawings.
• Inspect mechanical systems and equipment in projects; monitor commissioning.
• Review RFIs, submittals and design criteria; support change orders and design requirements.
• Attend mechanical and plumbing meetings and provide input on RFPs and LEED requirements.
