Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer for a Fort Benning, GA assignment. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor procedures, participating in inspections, and providing written analyses to the Contracting Officer's Representative.

Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with construction inspection experience; US citizenship and ability to pass background checks are mandatory. PE license is preferred; MS Office skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with construction inspection, contract administration, and/or office engineering support.
• Experience with mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems and mechanical construction inspection.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Review contractors' quality management and control procedures on large military installations and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Attend and participate in the 3-Phase Inspection process.
• Observe and investigate construction to identify major problems and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Review submittals and provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative concerning acceptability.
• Review and provide written comments to the Contracting Officer's Representative on selected contractor submittals pursuant to special clauses of the contract.
