Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support Fort Benning, GA. The role involves reviewing contractor quality management, participating in inspections, and providing engineering determinations on construction methods per contract specs.

You will analyze submittals, RFIs, and contractor schedules, coordinate with the DPW Resident Office, and prepare technical reports. A PE is preferred; US citizenship and background/drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of construction experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years of construction project inspection experience on large, complex projects.
• Experience with construction inspection, contract administration, and/or office engineering support.
• Experience with mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems and mechanical construction inspection.

Responsibilities

• Review contractors' quality management and control procedures on large military installations and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Attend and participate in the 3-Phase Inspection process.
• Observe and investigate construction to identify major problems and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
