Job summary

You will mentor a core team of 2–3 engineers/designers and translate customer requirements into robust product specifications while ensuring quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience/training in Project Management; PMP certification a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented, and a good team player.
• Proficient in quality tools—statistical methods, process capability, DOE, stackups.
• Experience with product development: design, DFM, prototypes, root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Successfully manage projects to achieve quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment.
• Independently execute prioritization, planning, scheduling, and tracking of objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and translate customer requirements into product specifications.
• Lead a core team of 2-3 engineers/designers to create a product and mentor them.
• Recommend sound product design decisions following a thorough analysis of complex data.
• Supervise prototype and engineering builds for engineering and manufacturing teams and initial production lots.
• Implement design and process controls, conduct root‑cause analysis, and apply Lean Six‑Sigma techniques.
• Coordinate with management to ensure programs are on track and identify risk mitigation options.
• Utilize engineering processes to develop and deliver technical design for new product development.
