Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer in our San Diego office to empower clients with energy-efficient building solutions and environmentally responsible designs.

You will guide HVAC system design for high‑impact facilities and lead project teams to deliver innovative outcomes. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of HVAC experience in research, healthcare or higher education settings, a professional engineering registration, and proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and

  • BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in our San Diego office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner’s needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Mechanical Project Engineer
  • BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
