Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in our Austin office to design HVAC systems for research, healthcare, and higher education facilities.

The role emphasizes leading discipline teams, delivering energy-efficient building solutions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams across dynamic projects. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of HVAC design experience, a BSME/BSAE, and proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE degree or equivalent engineering background.
• 10+ years of HVAC design experience for research, healthcare or higher education facilities.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the engineering design process for assigned projects within the discipline.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with client and project partner needs.
• Lead the discipline team to implement solutions and ensure project goals are met.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver energy-efficient building systems.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in our Austin office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner’s needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Mechanical Project Engineer

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
