Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Madison, WI, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC design on critical facilities projects.

You will guide the engineering design process, develop innovative solutions that meet client needs, and supervise the discipline team to deliver high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, 10+ years of HVAC design experience for healthcare, research or higher education, and professional registration is preferred.

Qualifications

  • BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience) required.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • 10 years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, healthcare or higher education facilities.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline.
  • Develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner’s needs.
  • Leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner’s needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

What you will need to succeed:
  • BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 10 years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
