Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Production in the Connected Warfare area. You will own the mechanical definition of production products, from as-shipped configuration through subsequent changes, and work with design, manufacturing, and production partners to scale hardware in volume.

The role emphasizes rigorous design for manufacturability, root-cause analysis, and documentation control, with field feedback and travel to exercises as part of the production ramp.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• B.S. or higher in an engineering field.
• U.S. Person status due to export-controlled data access.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high-quality drawings/docs.
• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent corrective action (PCA).

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical definition of one or more production products, from the as-shipped configuration through every change after.
• Investigate and resolve quality problems using RCA and PCA, ensuring fixes stick.
• Design new components and revise existing ones as products evolve.
• Feed DFMA lessons back into design to speed up production lines.
• Own the engineering documentation and manage the BOM for the final shipped product.
• Serve as the mechanical authority for configuration and change management across variants.
• Support qualification campaigns to prove products hold up in real conditions.
• Collaborate daily with designers, manufacturing engineers, and production partners.
• Travel to exercises to support products in the field and gather feedback.
