Job summary

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own production product definitions from shipped configurations through ongoing changes. You will lead RCA and PCA to eliminate recurring quality issues and ensure fixes stick in high-volume hardware.

You’ll design new components, refine DFMA, manage drawings and BOMs, and serve as the mechanical authority across variants.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
Track record of owning designs on a team.
Experience managing BOM and drawings in a PLM tool.
Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high‑quality drawings.
Fluency with engineering first principles.
Experience with RCA and PCA for quality improvement.
B.S. or higher in an engineering field.
U.S. Person status.
Excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

Own the mechanical definition of production products from as‑shipped through changes.
Investigate and resolve quality problems using RCA and PCA.
Design new components and revise existing ones as products evolve.
Feed DFMA lessons back into the design for faster, more reliable lines.
Own engineering documentation and manage BOM for final shipped product.
Serve as the mechanical authority for configuration across variants.
Support qualification campaigns proving products in real conditions.
Collaborate with designers, manufacturing engineers, and production partners.
Travel to exercises to support field use and gather feedback.
