Optikos seeks an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our product design team in Wakefield, MA. You will help create high-precision electro-mechanical systems from concept to production, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to deliver robust products.

You will contribute to mechanical design, motion control, and mechatronic integration with a hands-on, learn-fast mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering design experience.
• Demonstrated experience using SolidWorks for detailed drawings.
• Hands-on problem-solving and lab testing mindset.
• Effective communication within interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design and architecture for new products using SolidWorks.
• Support design of precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, and manufacturing teams for system-level performance.
• Participate in prototype builds, fixture design, testing, and iterative troubleshooting.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing methods to optimize performance and cost.
• Apply GD&T and basic structural/thermal analysis.
