Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in precision engineering and/or mechatronics.
• Mastery of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD for solid modeling.
• Strong design intuition and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive from-scratch mechanical design and architecture for new products using SolidWorks.
• Design precision mechanisms and motion control systems with tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with electrical and optical teams to ensure system-level compatibility.
• Lead hands-on prototype builds, fixture design, and test planning.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing methods to optimize performance and cost.
• Apply GD&T and perform structural/thermal analysis.
