Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other small equipment such as vacuums. This is a full‑time position on shift 1 at $20 per hour, located at Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center.

Essential Functions

• Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the hotel.
• Performs duty rounds using daily checklists.
• Reports on and corrects noted problems.
• Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders and performs all necessary repairs.
• Maintains a safe, clean and efficient workspace.
• Maintains inventory of tools in use.
• Works in a safe manner, including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
• Uses the maintenance request system correctly.
• Assists with maintenance requests for other trades as needed.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a similar job required.
• Ability to read and interpret property blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand, power and diagnostic tools.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
