Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Foreman or in a similar field leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping systems, and mechanical equipment installation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 30-Hour training and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license.

Mechanical Foreman

S.I. Goldman Company, Inc., a leading mechanical contractor and part of the Comfort Systems USA family, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to join our Gainesville team.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial mechanical construction who takes pride in quality workmanship, jobsite safety, and developing a productive field team.

The Mechanical Foreman will oversee daily field operations, coordinate labor and materials, and work closely with project management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mechanical construction crews.
• Plan and assign work to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to support project schedules.
• Work closely with project managers and other trades to resolve jobsite challenges.
• Monitor labor hours, material usage, and project progress.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and other required project documentation.
• Ensure installations comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and company quality standards.
• Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Provide guidance, training, and leadership to field employees and apprentices.
• Identify potential scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and other project concerns before they affect productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of pipefitting experience, preferably in commercial mechanical construction.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Foreman or in a similar field leadership position.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping systems, and mechanical equipment installation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, OSHA regulations, and construction safety practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
• Comfortable using an iPad, computer, and construction-related software for drawings, documentation, and communication.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 30-Hour training.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in active commercial construction environments, including outdoor conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces or at heights as required.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel to assigned jobsites as needed.
