Job summary

S.I. Goldman Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Plumbing Foreman for our Gainesville, FL team. This hands-on leadership role requires directing field crews, planning activities, and ensuring quality workmanship while maintaining safety and schedule adherence.

You will review plans, coordinate with Project Managers, and manage resources to keep projects on track. A strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and Florida codes is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial plumbing/pipefitting experience.
• Experience as Plumbing Foreman or in a similar field leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, tools, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of Florida Plumbing Code and OSHA safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, specifications, submittals, and construction documents.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan work, establish priorities, manage crews, and meet project deadlines.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, productivity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate plumbing crews to safely and efficiently complete work.
• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and schedules to plan field activities.
• Ensure plumbing systems meet project requirements and codes.
• Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to keep work on schedule.
• Monitor progress, labor hours, productivity, and quality of workmanship.
• Coordinate material/equipment needs to support crews.
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation.
• Communicate with Project Managers on progress and issues.
• Coordinate with other trades, inspectors, and project personnel.
• Identify problems early and develop solutions with the team.
• Promote and enforce OSHA safety requirements on site.
• Mentor Lead Plumbers and other field staff.
• Maintain high standards of quality within budget and schedule.
